Together in Ministry
Pastors and Deacons Sharing the Work of the Church
Why do pastors and deacons so often seem to clash and pull different directions? Isn’t church leadership supposed to mean a team who are pulling in the same direction? Together in Ministry is guidance from an experienced pastor, who worked joyfully and fruitfully with the deacons of his churches during his years of ministry.
It’s a book for every pastor, deacon, and church family who desire to see the ministry of the church strengthened and made more effective. You’ll find Together in Ministry equips you to see your own responsibilities more clearly, both where they begin, go and where they end! – and someone else’s begin.
It helps every pastor and deacon to understand the calling they have to assist one another. Further, even the wives of those leaders need equipping, and Pastor Ted helps them to understand and exercise the vital part they fulfill in church ministry too. Maybe most helpfully of all, here’s a book that opens the eyes of every church member to see the benefit and blessing of the pastor and deacons serving together.
“I’ve had to do pastor-deacon training three times in two churches. I can tell you that, what you read in this book has the potential to change the church you serve. It has changed us. It has changed me!” — Pastor Andy Taylor, Arrow Heights Baptist Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
