About the Author
Linda Lacour Hobar, author of The Mystery of History, is a decided follower of Jesus Christ. Through homeschooling her children and service as a missionary, Linda discovered a genuine love for world history where famous and not-so-famous people have shaped time itself by the mighty hand of God. In the year 2000, Linda sensed a clear call to write The Mystery of History series for her children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
As of 2019, now in its 17th year of circulation, The Mystery of History has been well received by all ages! While fact-filled and thought provoking, Linda’s style is warm and personable. The Mystery of History was awarded “Best Homeschool History Resource” in 2012. It is among Cathy Duffy’s “100 Top Picks.” Mary Pride gave it her “Practical Homeschooling Reader Award”. The Old Schoolhouse bestowed their “Excellence Award.” Most recently, in 2019, The Mystery of History earned the “Teach Them Diligently Family Favorites Award.”
A native-born Texan, Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University. She now lives resides in Tennessee with her husband Ron, where she continues to research and write.
