The Best-Ever Hiding Place
A Story About Forgiveness
Beautiful, full color illustrations on every page throughout the book. Illustrated by Michael Larkin.
Ephesians 4:32 is the theme of The Best-Ever Hiding Place, a Scripture Tales book:
“And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
During a lively game of hide-and-seek, Caleb plans to baffle his family with a clever new hiding spot.
Will his brothers and sister be able to find him?
And what will happen if things don’t go his way?
How the book begins:
“Caleb! You’re ‘it’ first!
It was a rainy afternoon, and thunder rumbled in the distance. The four Wilson children were finished with school, and Mom’s gentle instructions were clear. “Let’s have everyone stay inside today,” she had said. “I’d rather not be cleaning up mud and puddles everywhere you go!”
The Wilson family lived in a big house with two stories and a basement. They had an aquarium filled with fish, a hamster named Woodie, and a big dog named Woof, who loved everybody. The Wilson’s favorite game was hide-and-seek, and their big house gave them lots of great hiding places. In fact, this very afternoon, the children decided that, since they had to stay inside, it was impossible to do anything else but play a big game of hide-and-seek.
