And Other Stories, including The Stranger at Home
This volume includes three stories from the 19th century. First is the story of Patty’s Curiosity. Patty is a little girl who must learn that her disobedience and idle curiosity (being “nosy”) is causing more trouble than she ever knew.
In the 2nd story, Wants and Wishes, Charles discovers how selfish he is, through a new friendship with a blind boy.
The 3rd story is the marvelous and surprising tale, The Stranger at Home. Elvira is a little girl who truly dislikes being told what to do or to listen to instructions. Her parents find a most unique and effective way to get Elvira listening. She learns to change this habit quickly!
