John Piper’s eloquent plea for the church to catch a God-centered vision for engaging in world evangelization. He presents three closely related truths from Scripture:
(1) zeal for the glory of God motivates world missions
(2) a servant spirit and heart of mercy motivate world missions, and
(3) how a witness or missionary can learn to exalt the glory of God’s mercy in men’s sight.
Piper shows that Christians are bound to reach into all the world, because “God’s will for missions is that every people group be reached with the testimony of Christ and that a people be called out for His name from all the nations.”
