The Children’s Heritage Series
The Girl’s Collection
Our classic set of 19th-century reprinted stories for girls. These contain some of our most spiritually enriching books for girls ages 8-14, in fascinating stories that have been loved for almost two centuries now. Also very suitable to read aloud with younger children or for family reading. Includes 8 books, all originally published by the American Tract Society in the 1800s.
Some of these will soon be some of your daughter’s favorite and most memorable stories.
Continuing in the tradition of the well-known Grace & Truth Books Children’s Character Building Collection, these volumes tell stories of young ladies facing challenging dilemmas in life through which they learn to grow in Christian character. They are also highly gospel-centered stories, which means that they don’t merely promote a life of good behavior, and certainly not any hope of growing up thinking that we are saved by our good works. Rather, they encourage a girl to turn in faith and repentance to Jesus Christ early in life, and run to Him for salvation and then for continual forgiveness of sin.
This set includes all the following books:
- The Little Girl’s Treasury
- I Have a Soul
- The Dairyman’s Daughter
- Behind Mr. Bunyan
- Patty’s Curiosity
- The Young Cottager
- Grace Raymond
- First Impressions of God
These were originally published by the American Tract Society in the 1800s. During the 1970s through 1990s, the faithful ministry of Triangle Press in Montana kept them in print. But now, these stories have been republished in their highest quality editions ever.
Be sure to also see our Children’s Heritage Series Boy’s Collection, a set of eight stories for boys with similar themes and goals – to encourage our children to come to Christ early in life and then to walk faithfully with Him, resisting the world and its temptations.
The stories in the Children’s Heritage Series Girl’s Collection are well-suited to be read by girls 10-14 years of age, or for read-aloud to girls 7-9 years of age.
