About the Author
Sue Nicewander, MABC, is a NANC-certified counselor and also serves as Executive Director of Biblical Counseling Ministries (BCM) in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, where she offers biblical counseling by pastoral referral and discipleship development training for local churches.
Sue says about herself:
I care about people, so I write. I know what it’s like to suffer debilitating hardship, to have to fight for a ray of hope. But I also know where hope is found, so I write.
Equipped with a rich master’s degree in biblical counseling from Central Seminary in Plymouth (Minneapolis), Minnesota, USA, and with deep gratitude for mercy and forgiveness in Jesus Christ, in 2003 I founded Biblical Counseling Ministries. BCM is a not-for-profit collaborative effort of five Wisconsin churches to provide and equip soul care in local churches. Amazingly, these privileges allow me myriad opportunities to reach out to people by teaching, counseling, speaking, and writing – all things I love to do. Not only that, but in our 43 years together, Jim and I raised two beautiful daughters, now married with six delightful grandchildren, until his decline and death in 2016.
Life holds so many beautiful experiences amidst so much pain, so much need. We all need help to sort it out. So I write. And I hope you will read.
