Many of the the Puritans and authors from the 1800s were rich theologians, but with over 150 to 300 years between us and them, sometimes their writing style poses a significant challenge to readers today. For this reason, over a decade ago, Grace Publications of England produced a series of some of the best of these writings, with some abridgement and modern language revision to today’s English. These have since gone out of print and most have only a few copies remaining. This section contains what we still have of those. Among these are some outstanding works of Thomas Goodwin, Robert Leighton, Henry Scougal, Ralph Venning, James Buchanan, J. C. Ryle, George Smeaton, and other classics in a limited collection of modern English versions.
