“That’s just your interpretation.”  Have you ever heard those words?  Normally from someone trying to escape the plain meaning of particular Scriptures, because the message they’re hearing is impinging on their beliefs or behavior.  If you’ve said it yourself, you may not be coming to terms yet with the fact that correct interpretation is simply a matter of grasping that, a text has a meaning – things it says and things it does not say.  Arriving at that meaning – not just what I want to see – is what a sincere Bible student craves.  No one matures in the faith without having learned this skill.  These books can help you get a grip on good Bible study habits; many are specifically for adults, some are for children just getting started, and some are designed by and for women and their own study groups.
