A book with a different perspective on the subject of autism than you'll normally find. In Too Wise to be Mistaken, Too Good to Be Unkind, you will join David, Cathy, and Drew Steere on their difficult, yet remarkable journey into the complex world of autism. More than a "how-to" manual on dealing with a special needs child, this is the heartwarming testimony of two parents who placed their trust in their faithful Heavenly Father and lovingly persevered in training Drew in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. A powerful testimony to the sufficiency of Scripture in all of life. Hear an interview with the author at: http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sermonID=11706174236

This is an encouraging, hope giving book.
Reviewed By: Susan Leavitt - E. Washington State

As parents of two autistic boys, we struggled with the balance between the worldly view of treatment for our boys and the Biblical promises of Scripture. This quick reading book was a joy to read, following the day to day struggles of a mom and dad, trying to raise their child in the nuture and admonition of the Lord. We were very encouraged, and we use this book as a ministry tool when talking with parents of newly diagnosed children with autism related struggles. Personally, we have clung to God's Word in making decisions regarding our boys' treatments and upbringing, and have seen fruit and progress in their lives. This is an encouraging, hope giving book that will instill courage in the hearts of parents and grandparents who are raising God's special children.

Too Wise to Be Mistaken, Too Good to Be Unkind

I read this book for the first time as we started the very treatment described by the author for our PDD son. It was such an encouragement. That was almost four years ago. I recently reread it and was blessed again because we have had similar results with our son that the author had with hers. In fact the neurodevelopmentalist in the book is the one to whom we go...and she is as wonderful as Cathy Steere says. I would highly recommend the book for parents of autistic or PDD children. It gives hope and practical advice to the parents of special needs children. It is a God-send!

A must-read for Christian parents!
Reviewed By: Nanci Smith - WA

This book was truly the answer to my prayers. When our son was first diagnosed with Asperger's, I searched for Christian resources...I couldn't find any. This book makes it clear that as we follow the Lord Jesus, He doesn't want us to compromise with psychology and humanism just because our child has special needs. In fact, He has a better plan...He will personally guide us through the maze of Autism spectrum disorders as He guides us in every other area of our lives. I can't recommend this book highly enough!
